James works extensively with renowned global clients and has achieved tremendous success with music that has been heard close to a billion times on every major broadcaster in the UK.
Based in London, but frequently traveling, James works across all genres. From large-scale symphony orchestras to platinum-selling rock bands. Working with highly respected soloists and in demand session musicians on every project.
Biography
Since 2018, James has spent time with Grammy award winners assisting with music for influential artists including Louis Tomlinson, George Ezra, Liam Gallagher, Tom Odell, Years & Years, MUNA, Joywave, MIKA, Tom Grennan, Phoebe Bridgers & Sam Ryder amongst many more, totalling well beyond 4 billion streams so far.
Alongside this, James’ freelance career has seen him work on music with a mix of established and developing artists, achieving BBC Radio airplay amongst other accolades.
James helps corporate clients achieve remarkable commercial results. This year, James mixed and mastered the “Matchmaker” AutoTrader TV & Radio adverts, which have now been heard by 98% of the UK population 14 or more times.
JORG LLP, James’ production company, established with award winning cinematographer Oliver Granger, combines studio quality sound with cinematic video with work including live broadcast concerts around the UK, from venues like the Cadogan Hall and O2 Academy Islington.
In 2020, James co-founded The New Scene Foundation to bring opportunities to upcoming artists during the pandemic and beyond.

On the night before the 2023 MPGs, James was invited to attend Bob’s Dolby Atmos mixing masterclass in London.
Ken Scott
In summer 2022, James spent a week undertaking a masterclass with the Beatles’, Elton John and David Bowie’s engineer.
Leslie Gaston-Bird
As part of James’ University of London BSc degree, he studied mastering under an AES President.
Paul Newis
James studied classical recording under the BBC’s Paul Newis.
